Algerian President Wants to Change Constitution - News Link

So, the Algerian president replaced Algeria’s prime minister with one who will support his effort to change the constitution of Algeria so he can run for a third term. He’s got a big head on his shoulders doesn’t he? I think if he cared about Algeria and the integrity of the constitution he would mentor someone and promote them among his supporters, instead. Seeing that he is replaced by a likeminded candidate.  I  just think the whole idea of changing the constitution is crazy for, just, one man. It’s obvious that running this country is not a one man job, anyway. Let me know what you think…

Economic boom in Algeria - News Article

In this article the engineer they interviewed suggests he will sell cigarettes on the street if he can’t find work. It seems many of the youth have the same idea in mind. I spoke to a teacher here and she says the general ambition of the students is to make money any way they can and not to continue thier education. You can see this plan reflected in the vast number of TaxiPhones(kind of like a glorified phone booth), cigarette stands and coffee shops(and they don’t even sell cappiccinos or lattes). They are quick and cheap businesses to set up. The business owners are willing to settle for the little income they generate. And I say little because there is so much competition.

The Florilegio Circus in Setif, Algeria.

Last night I had the great pleasure of attending the Italian/International Florilegio Circus with my hubby and kids. It was wonderful. The children had a blast. Much different than the circus I am used to where you could very well end up in the nose bleed section. This was a small tent with fantastic decor and very personable. The performers were great. They had a large steel ball where two men with motorcycles spun around inside. And some contraption where a man walking inside and out of this steel circle that was whirling about. Loved it. I could kick myself for not taking my camera but I did get a pic of the bill this morning for you to see. Plus a scan of the seating card and tickets.
