Got Milk? Algeria’s Milk Crisis

Lately, I’ve been having to stock up on the milk when I can find it. It’s usually hit or miss when I get to the store. The article suggests the farmer makes 23.35 DZD per liter. He is selling fresh milk. Which is 30 DZD per liter at the local merchant. Not much of a mark-up, considering there is a middle-man involved. 1 liter milk sacks re-constituted from imported milk-powder go for 25 DZD for the end consumer.
